Church of Champniers
St Martin’s Church whose apse and choir are Romanesque. A single arched bell gable surmounts the church on a single archway. The transept and chancel are the oldest parts of the church dating from the 12th century.
Saint Martin’s Church has a collection of paintings dating from the end of the Gothic period. Approached themes : The Last Judgement and Hell, the Last Supper, Saint Eloi, Saint Michel, the Annunciation, Christ in majesty surround by the Tetramorph, Saint Martin, Saint Georges and Saint Blaise...
Two gravestones next to the Church come from the old cemetery.
To see also: the cross hosannière raised in the middle of the cemetery.
